Our journey began on 13–14 November in Lisbon, where we brought together 33 participants from 21 countries for an intensive 1.5-day workshop.
The group was wonderfully diverse - including early-career researchers, PhD students, professors, NGO practitioners, consultants, and activists, with strong representation from the Global South.
Rather than being a one-off event, this workshop was designed as a foundational convening to launch ongoing collaboration.
Together, we:
- explored connections between feminist research, policy, and practice
- facilitated interdisciplinary dialogue across academia and civil society
- identified shared research priorities and critical gaps in the field
- initiated collaborative, cross-border research initiatives
This workshop marked the beginning of the Gender Justice Lab’s commitment to building a global, inclusive, and action-oriented research community.
We are excited by the partnerships, ideas, and projects that continue to emerge from these conversations.
