For decades, humanitarian action has been understood as the domain of international organizations, UN agencies, and large donors. Yet in contexts of prolonged crisis (armed conflict, displacement, natural disasters) affected populations, particularly women, develop their own humanitarian responses that remain largely invisible to humanitarian studies and policy.

This panel discussion with research from Colombia examines how feminist approaches reshape humanitarian action across three domains: self-declared feminist international NGOs, grassroots women-led organizations, and crisis-affected women's own organizing. By centering care ethics, political agency, and situated knowledge, this discussion will draw parallels between feminist approaches from across the Global South and challenge dominant humanitarian paradigms to make ongoing humanitarian reset move urgently effective.
